The Mind Your Heart Study is a prospective cohort study investigating the impact of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) on cardiovascular health in the Veteran population.
The Mind Your Heart Study
The study enrolled nearly 750 Veterans between 2008 and 2010. Each participant underwent cardiac stress tests and extensive baseline mental and physical health assessments.
The Mind Your Heart Study
Participants continue to be followed with yearly telephone interviews to assess PTSD symptoms and physical health, including cardiac events and hospitalizations.
